The Role: CookWe're seeking an experienced Cook who can effectively oversee our restaurant's kitchen by managing other team members and deciding on dishes to serve while accommodating guests' requests.
All work will take place in a fully functioning, extremely clean and organised kitchen. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to handle pressure and time constraints, and knowledge of various food varieties and ingredients.
Duties:Set up workstations with required ingredients and cooking equipment;Inspect the cleanliness of equipment and premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations;Verify the quality of raw materials and accurately weigh ingredients;Follow recipes and instructions precisely;Regulate oven temperatures and other cooking equipment;Season, prepare, and cook food to perfection;Store food in temperature-controlled facilities;Empty, clean, and grease baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipment regularly;Maintain exceptional food safety and hygiene standards at all times;Qualifications and Skills:AQF Certificate III or higher (including at least two years of on-the-job training) or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3);Relevant qualifications are preferred, but 3 years of relevant experience may substitute;At least 3 years of experience as a Cook;Menu planning, creating new dishes, and ensuring high-quality products;Kitchen management, including staff training when necessary;Experience upholding proper health and safety requirements in the kitchen;Salary: $72,500 per annum
