Our portfolio spans industrial, commercial, and government clients across multiple markets and geographies.About the OpportunityThe Controls Systems Engineer role is based in Perth, WA and reports to the Team Leader - Intelligent Infrastructure, as well as Project Managers across a wide variety of projects. We are looking for engineering professionals with solid experience in a similar role within a design and execution team. #LI-LM1234Key requirements for the role:Project studies and concept designs including estimating, architecture development, control/communication philosophies and prototyping.
Development of control system design and implementation deliverables, including control system architectures, I/O Lists, communication block diagrams, technical specifications, scopes of work, functional descriptions, functional specificationsand test documentation.
Development of control systems design including instrument schedules and datasheets.
Overseeing, directing or personally delivering small to complex I&C designs on key industrial, water and infrastructure projects.
Working as part of an interdisciplinary
Support development of engineering / design effort hour estimates for small to medium jobs.
Active participation in HAZOPs and Risk Assessments. •Interface with vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Attendance at panel factory acceptance testing and vendor integration testing.
Construction support and on site commissioning (various locations).
Promotion of Safety in Design on I&C projects.
Contribution to marketing opportunities for new business and developing stronger client relationships
Supporting Project Managers / Designated Project Executives managing risk, project delivery, HSEC, quality and service.
Provide technical expertise on the deployment of electrical control systems
Contribute to the development and implantation of systems engineering documentation
Support Jacobs strategy of delivering electrical control systems expertise to our Global relationship clients
Contribute to the preparation of project lifecycle documents (including marketing and sales documents, proposals, concept designs, detailed designs, and operations and maintenance documents) for major projects •Keep up to date with current technologies and experience
Support wider Power teams with delivery of ITS, ICT and Electrical engineering projects
About YouThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria outlined below:Engineering degree qualification.
Extensive experience in significant control systems design and/or execution projects.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team.
Proven successful delivery of Control System projects.
Credibility and relationships with power, industrial, water and infrastructure clients in WA.
A desire for personal development and a keen eye for detail.
A focus on quality and performance.
Ability to develop and drive proposal plans for particular opportunities.
Experience with water and wastewater process control is preferred.
Experience with radio communications design is preferred
PLC, RTU and SCADA development experience required.
Rockwell Automation product development experience preferred.
Experion PKS, CitectSCADA and ClearSCADA experience preferred.
Experience with multidisciplinary design interfaces (particularly process, electrical and mechanical) required.
Functional Safety experience beneficial.
