Great opportunity for a Contracts Administrator to join an excellent Brisbane-based building contractor who prides themselves on their excellent reputation, repeat business, and quality of project delivery. With over 100 permanent members of staff nationally, the contractor delivers new build projects up to $40M. Its current project portfolio in QLD includes service stations, industrial warehouses, fast food restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping centres, encompassing both new build construction and 'live environment' fit-out projects.
The initial project & position: You will be a site-based Contracts Administrator located on a new-building shopping centre in the Ipswich region. The project will entail a new supermarket, several other retail outlets, and a café, valued at $40M.
On this initial $40M D&C project, reporting to a senior CA, you will join a site team located in Ipswich and play a key role in the delivery of the project.
Duties will include: Contract letting and procurement Cost reporting and forecasting Working on a Design and Construct (D&C) project Preparing Scope of Works RFI's Assessing progress claims and subcontract payments Preparing and submitting variations to the client To be suitable for this position, it is anticipated that you will possess the following: Approx. 2-5 years experience as a Contracts Administrator Ideally have a construction-related tertiary qualification, preferably in Construction Management or Engineering Must have worked for reputable Australian building contractors in the mid-tier building contracting space Experience working on retail and industrial construction projects would be highly desirable Experience with construction software in keeping with the mid-tier commercial and industrial construction space. Familiarity with construction software and systems such as CHEOPS, Jobpac, MS Projects, Hammertech, and/or Procore would be hugely beneficial.
