The Role
Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Contract Administrator's responsibilities will include:

Providing the Project Team with high-level tender and contract management advice.
Assisting with contract negotiations, ensuring timely review and approval and/or reconciliation of variations.
Ensuring all claims are initiated effectively and maintaining compliance with all service contracts and Company commercial policies and procedures.
Liaising with Project Managers and the Executive Commercial Manager to coordinate contractual insurance requirements and securities, implement risk management processes, and review risk registers and controls from tender to contract execution.
Unassisted development of commercial letters and/or creation of templates ready for use for review and approval by Project Manager and the Executive Commercial Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications / Experience

Qualifications in contracts or commercial/business law.
Minimum three years' experience in a commercial, pre-contracts, or contract management role.
Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management, organisational, and presentation/finishing skills.
High-level customer relationship management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, schedule, and plan.
Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently using own initiative and within a cohesive team environment.
Internet and PC proficiency with advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Outlook skills.
Demonstrated level of analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to listen actively and retain information accurately.
Demonstrated level of commercial insight.
Experience in commercial negotiation.
Demonstrated understanding of the AS4000 suite of contracts.
Knowledge and application of Australian standards and legislation concerning quality management, occupational safety and health management, risk management, environmental protection, construction, and security of payments.

Desirable Skills / Experience

Qualification in Project Management, Legal, or Engineering.
Demonstrated Project Management experience.
Experience in similar roles in the electricity, engineering, infrastructure, utilities, construction, and/or resources industry.
Experience in commercial contract formation and tendering processes.
