Sydney Metro West – Western Tunnelling Package (WTP)
A consortium between Gamuda Australia and Laing O'Rourke has been awarded a contract to start tunnelling on the Sydney Metro West project.
With works 60% completed, the Gamuda Australia Laing O'Rourke Consortium is looking for a Contracts Administrator to be responsible for the pre and post contract administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts.
This includes the contract administration and procurement of supply, labour, consultancy and services, as well as handling head contracts and sub-contracts matters post-contract phase.
About The Role
Establish and maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships and proactively identify any contract risks to minimise or to eliminate variation claims where possible.Assess and administer subcontractor claims, invoices and variation claims.Provide ongoing administration and the refining of contract administration systems, registers and procedures.Ensure that contracts and related activities comply with statutory regulations and legislations and company ethics policyLiaise with the Project Manager to ensure internal cost controls are being maintained.Participate in the submission of monthly consolidated reporting in the areas of cash flow forecasting, variation status, contractual matters and cost analysis.
The contract includes the delivery of twin nine-kilometre tunnels between Sydney Olympic Park and Westmead, excavation of two new metro stations, a stabling and maintenance facility at Clyde and a precast facility at Eastern Creek.
About You
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalentContract administration and procurement experience in the Australian construction industry.Ability to advise on contractual, cost and commercial mattersGood communication and analytical skillsGood negotiation capabilities
