Silverstrand is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator looking to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team. You will be based in our Brisbane Head Office and employed on a permanent basis.About the role:Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Contracts Administrator is responsible for managing and controlling all procurement and contract administration services for all contracts.Working as part of an experienced team, duties will include, but are not limited to:Manage all cost and contractual matters ensuring project costs, revenues, claims, and supplier agreements are administeredInitiate, review, analyse, plan and administer the closing of contractsWorking with all parties to ensure the best possible Commercial outcome is achievedMaintain a good working relationship with clients and subcontractors while negotiating and managing the head contract and subcontractors for the projectInfluence and lead others in the team to produce high quality project outcomesEnsure that delivered products comply with contract specifications and recording and reporting on any non-conformancesEnsure payment schedules are processed in accordance with the Security of Payment ActMeasuring and approving subcontract progress paymentsUndertake monthly financial reports relating to cost and budgetAssist with construction claims and dispute resolution mattersMonitor any change during the construction phase, assessing effects on cost, measuring values and negotiating any variationsAbility to engage with the project team effectively and attend site meetingsEssential Skills and Experience:Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.Legal tertiary qualifications, particularly experience with Contract and Commercial law will be highly regarded.At least 3 years' relevant working experience in major infrastructure projects with in-depth knowledge and experience in contract administration and claims management.Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.Ability to set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.Strong communication skills including strong negotiation and influencing skills.What's on offer:Competitive salary based on the successful candidate's experienceA permanent position with a growing civil construction companyPaid day off on your birthdaySponsorship is available for the right candidateAbout Us:Silverstrand is a privately owned and operated contractor operating across Australasia since 2008, providing quality delivery in all areas of both civil and structural construction works in metro, regional and remote areas.
