Key Duties & Responsibilities
Take full ownership of large loss insurance building projects.
Monitor estimator quotation lists.
Monitor & assist team with relationship development.
Discuss market trends & pricing schedules.
Ensure any discrepancies with quotations of projects are identified.
Identify any apparent trends regarding pricing.
Develop relationships with key clientele in the insurance & further market.
Develop & foster relationships with new and existing clientele.
Develop and continually critique / monitor estimating processes & strategies, ensuring our systems are of best practice in the industry.
Explore potential non-conforming cost savings & alternatives.
Conduct & manage detailed project take-offs & internal measures.
Analysis of potential cost savings, gains, losses & profitability.
Develop preliminary costs in conjunction with the nominated construction manager.
Travel around metro Sydney.

Being able to demonstrate and highlight examples of these are the key criteria for you to be successful in joining our existing talented and passionate team.
Estimating experience in the construction sector.
Insurance building or commercial background ideal, however not essential.
Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal.
Ability to build effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
Computer literacy – Microsoft Excel, Project & Word.
Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client.
Knowledge of OHS practices, legislation, and regulations, advantageous however training provided.
Knowledge of current market rates & trades advantageous however training provided.
Good work ethic & highly motivated.
Ability to manage multiple & competing priorities.
Current & valid motor vehicle licence.
