About Us Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation  (AHAC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to 'Closing the Gap' in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.
Anyinginyi Health consists of four different sections (Health Services, Business Services, Public Health Unit and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families) which allow them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.
Anyinginyi Health's  mission is to be a provider of high quality holistic primary health care services featuring prevention and treatment in the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.

As a small regional centre, Tennant Creek does not have the facilities one would find in larger country towns like Katherine or Alice Springs however it does provide for all the basics that most people require.
There is a supermarket similar to a large IGA store, Post Office, clothing and furniture stores, Pharmacy, Newsagent, two banks (ANZ & Westpac), restaurants and coffee shops and four hotels/motels.
It also has sporting facilities (e.g.
swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis court, football ground, car racing track), and several tourists attractions within easy reach Like our Beautiful Lake Mary Ann!
About the Role The objective of the Connected Beginnings program is the integration of early childhood , maternal and child health, a nd family support services within school settings in Tennant Creek, so children are healthy and well prepared for school.
Working closely with the Connected Beginnings Cultural Advisor , This role is responsible for developing and coordinating pathways between services to improve the outcomes and development of children.
More specifically, some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to): Establishing/maintaining connections with Pre-school and kindergarten Parenting support groups Breastfeeding support groups Healthy eating programs Community Members Developing connections with other Anyinginyi Health programs Tracking and reporting on collective impact, developing internal monitoring tools Providing reports to the CEO and Board of Directors, and information sessions to Managers and other Anyinginyi Health staff Helping draft policies and procedures to improve child health outcomes Attending community and health sector forums, representing the organisation, and progressing Anyinginyi Health strategic objectives About You To be successful in this position, you must have experience managing projects and budgets, possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, have respect for Aboriginal culture and diversity , and be able to demonstrate leadership as well as work in team settings and autonomously.

You will need to be able to demonstrate cultural safety and understand the purpose of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.
Desirable Qualities: Qualification or experience in project management or coordination, preferably in community development or a related field.
Experience using, or willingness to learn, online meeting technology (MS Teams) for online meetings and collaborative project-based work.
Experience driving 4WD vehicles and a willingness to travel to remote communities.
Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
Knowledge of social and health issues confronting Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory.
Previous experience living and working in a remote area.
Appointment Conditions: Employment with Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation is conditional on the employee providing NT Working with Children Check (Ochre Card), Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
