About the role
As the Compliance Supervisor – Coal Mining you will report directly to the Superintendent Coal Mining and be responsible for supporting the Coal Mining Shift Supervisors in execution of the Week+1 plan, ensuring execution of short range forecast (SRF) production plan enabling activities as well as identifying and driving efficiency improvements.Additionally, the successful candidate will utilise their abilities to work across technical and operational stakeholders and deliver on competing priorities in order to achieve mutually beneficial safety and production outcomes for the wider operation. This role works a 7 on / 7 off dayshift only roster and is based at Goonyella Riverside Mine and is a senior leadership role within the Coal Mining team.
You will have an unwavering commitment to safety and this will be clearly demonstrated throughout your prior experience. You will also have strong verbal communication and engagement skills and you will use your ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities on a daily basis.As the successful applicant you will also have:Previous experience working in a supervisory role in an open cut mining environment;Experience leading a team;The capability to remain consistent in influencing large teams whilst under pressure in order to achieve the best outcomes for the operation;A desire to coach and lead employees on issues pertaining to health, safety and the environment;Well-developed communication and collaboration skills and an ability to work across various stakeholders;A basic working knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs including the Microsoft Office Suite; andAn understanding of SAP is beneficial but not essential.
