The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in South West Sydney. From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too. As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community. We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual to volunteer socially with our elderly client in Edensor Park.
She enjoys cooking, gardening, watching movies, Bingo, and lunches at the club.
Our client would enjoy a friendly visitor to have a chat over a cuppa. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself.
Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Requirements18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare. We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute to 1-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm Monday to Sunday.
Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
