Sydney West Region, open to other locations Ongoing opporunity , Competitive Salary on offer with NFP benefits Vital role in ensuring residents live in safe and supportive environment Our Client, a leading provider in Community Housing and Homelessness sector, is currently recruiting for an experienced Housing / Tenancy Officers to join their team.
This role will involve; Managing a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and meet housing standards.
Serving as the main point of contact for tenants, providing support and responding to queries regarding tenancy agreements, rent collection, and maintenance issues.
Conducting regular property inspections and coordinating necessary repairs and maintenance.
Engaging with tenants to foster positive relationships and promote community involvement.
Ensuring compliance with housing legislation and organizational policies and procedures.
Addressing any incidents of anti-social behavior within the community and supporting tenants with additional needs.
Assisting with the allocation of properties in line with the organization's housing policies.
Promoting housing initiatives and encouraging tenant participation in community events and programs.
The requirements for this role include; Experience in housing management or a related field, ideally within social or community housing.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals.
Sound knowledge of housing regulations, tenancy rights, and property management best practices.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
High level of empathy and the ability to address sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle may be required for site visits.
Additional Information A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
