The Opportunity: As our Communications Coordinator , you'll lead a talented team in delivering consistent communication that positively promotes the Council.
In this role, you will support the organisation's strategic messaging, manage media relationships, and ensure community is at the forefront of every message.
Key Responsibilities Lead a team to create and delivery of high-quality communications content across all channels.
Manage Council's relationships with media and oversee civic events.
Support internal communications.
Maintain a rolling communications calendar and strategic messaging.
Ensure corporate branding evolves with best practices in graphic design.
Based in Bairnsdale, this is a full-time, ongoing position.
What we're looking for (Key Selection Criteria) A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and several years' relevant experience.
Or less formal qualifications with significant and diverse experience in both operational areas and management.
Highly developed understanding of communication, marketing, social media and media best practices.
A leader with a demonstrated ability to manage a range of complex and often competing needs.
Knowledge of the political and organisational operations of local government in the context of a changing environment.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and you must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
