Our client is an established, independent commodity broking firm that work with a number of growers across the Northern and Central West NSW region to source product for their exporter and end users. They source a variety of Grains, Pulses, Cotton and Oilseed and provide a broad range of services to stakeholders within the commodity trading sector. They have a number of long term customers and continue to grow footprint, and due to this have an exciting opportunity to join their team. The Role: Reporting to the leadership team, as a Commodity Merchant you will liaise with stakeholders including growers, traders, end users and logistic providers to broker deals and ensure contract execution. In addition, you will:Assist in researching market trends and industry information.Assist in contract execution and updating internal records.Regularly visit and speak with existing and new clients.Develop market reports.The Person: To be successful in this role you will have experience working at a farmgate level or in a similar commodity trading role. Ideally you will have suitable qualifications in the agribusiness or business sector, and have a passion for the agricultural industry. You will be a naturally outgoing person, with an attention to detail and highly self motivated.
