Sydney Water has partnered with D4C to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to Georges River. D4C is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic, diverse and high performing team in an exciting time of growth. We need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion dollar program over the next 10 years to build, maintain and protect the future of our iconic water resources.
Primary PurposeThe Commissioning Engineer is accountable for the commissioning of new and refurbished facilities, systems and equipment in Water and Wastewater Networks and Treatment plants.
Key AccountabilitiesCarry out commissioning activities including electrical testing, pump and equipment testing, control system and set up testing.Attend and contribute to design reviews, applying safety in design principles.Arrange and manage factory acceptance tests with switchboard and equipment vendors.Coordinate pre-commissioning activities with the Construction Team.Coordinate with Plant / Operations Teams for cut overs and temporary operating modes.Manage / supervise sub-contractor and vendor commissioning activities.Review / endorse sub-contractor and vendor commissioning documentation.Develop or facilitate the development of documentation and engineering reports in accordance with project specifications, legislative requirements, and industry best practice.Manage commissioning records to facilitate the smooth handover of the facility to the operations team.EssentialBachelor's Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent.Membership of a recognised professional association (i.e. IEAUST, IChemE, ICE, etc).More than 5 years relevant experience.NSW Drivers Licence.White Card.We welcome and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQIA+, people with disability, people with caring responsibilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and veterans.
