About UsWe are a growing commercial painting company in high demand by builders. Currently have a team of 25 employees and contractors. Our work involves the painting of schools, supermarkets, restaurants, office buildings, residential insurance jobs, and more.
RequirementsApplicants must have the following:Minimum 3 years commercial painting experienceMinimum 2 year commercial painting project management experienceExperience in managing a team of 20+ across multiple sitesWhite CardWorking with Children CheckElevated Work Platform and Working at Heights licenceAbility to communicate fluently in English, Hindi/Urdu, Punjabi and TeluguAustralian driver's license and own car (sufficiently large to carry ladders, spray guns etc)Previous experience using CrewTraka and Trak job management softwareHigh proficiency in analysing and forecasting budgets and profit and loss statementsWilling to travel to regional jobsWilling to undertake occasional weekend and night works (overtime rates apply)Tasks & ResponsibilitiesManagement of commercial painting projects located in Melbourne and west thereof. Also regular regional jobs.Interpreting architectural plans and specifications relevant to painting worksCoordinating labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipmentLiaising with builders and subcontractors involved in projects to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetEnsuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safetyOverseeing the standard and performance of all staffPreparing Safety Work Method StatementsIdentify and obtain sign off for variations to scope of worksProvide training to staff, as requiredPreparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfacesApplying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushers, rollers and spraysCleaning equipment and work areas
