Reporting to the Head of Commercial & Partnerships you will manage the commercial aspects of allocated contracts and commercial relationships to support programs at ASC.This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia.ResponsibilitiesAs our Commercial Manager – Advisory, you will:Ensure all obligations accepted by ASC are consistent with ASC corporate goals and values and are achievable within the assigned scope and budget with an acceptable level of risk.Provide strategic commercial advice, business development and bidding support to the wider ASC team.Develop, mentor and grow commercial capability within the commercial team.Prepare and review internal reports and briefing papers on commercial matters.Proactive response and delivery on commercial analysis.Develop and maintain relationships with ASC stakeholders.About youTertiary qualifications in Law, Business Management, Commerce, Procurement or related discipline.Experience in ASDEFCON suite of tendering and contract templates is required.10 years post graduate experience in a commercial, legal or advisory role.Demonstrated experience in managing and developing complex contracts.High-level written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships and manage stakeholder relations.Demonstrated experience in drafting agreements, providing commercial advice and managing commercial risk.A degree of flexibility is required in working hours to support the engagement with international capability partners. This role may also require periodic or regular overseas travel.This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
