Whitehorse Manningham Libraries has an exciting opportunity to join our technical services team.
This new position supports the development, maintenance, and promotion of library collections.

About the Role Reporting to the Coordinator Collections and Technical Services, this role will:
Participate in the selection, evaluation, development, and promotion of library resource collectionsRespond to customer suggestions and requestsContribute to Collection Management strategies and policiesSupport the collation, analysis, and reporting of dataHold librarianship qualifications, conferring eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and the capacity to engage with a diverse range of groups.
Experience in collection development and maintenance in a public library setting is essential.
The successful applicant must hold or be willing to acquire a Working with Children Check card and must be willing to undergo a National Police Record Check.
This position is based at the Technical Services Branch in Nunawading, but all applicants should be aware that it is a condition of employment that all employees can be required to work at any of the eight Whitehorse Manningham Libraries branches.
Experience in the delivery of Library Technical Services provision would be an advantage.
