About the opportunity Suitable to a Darwin local or someone who is open to a relocation, the role of Coating and Insulation Coordinator is based on site of a major Oil and Gas project in Darwin. As a pivotal player in a large-scale operation, the Coating and Insulation Coordinator is instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of coating and insulation activities, from planning through execution, while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders involved.
Your day-to-day includes:
Provide direction and support for preparation, planning and coordination of coating and insulation (C&I) activities from planning through to completion. Be responsible for the coordination of Campaign, Maintenance, Integrity (CMI) coating and insulation scopes from the planning phase through to execution and eventual closeout. Utilising CMI schedule revisions and regularly interface with SAP to ensure the latest information regarding planned scopes is being considered. Review long and short term plans with the project planning/schedule stakeholders to ensure alignment against labour resource capacities and availabilities. Contribute to the scoping of work orders to ensure readiness ahead of planned execution; including the coordinating the readiness of work packages, materials and permits to work. Effectively communicate and build relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external. Lead progress meetings and periodically communicate information to stakeholders as required. Work closely with the execution supervisors to support both planned readiness and execution of the scopes. Action prompt time confirmation and closeout of executed work orders in SAP. About you At least 3 - 5 years' of proven experience in the energy, mining and/or construction industry in a similar role. Previous experience in working as a Coating and/or Insulation supervisor/superintendent with a focus on coordination is highly desirable. Have undertaken coordination duties before while being involved in coating/insulation execution. Experience and competency with the use of SAP is highly desirable. Proven ability and understanding of permitting systems and the preparation of permits to work is desirable.
