What Do We Do Here?
Our Conroe Facility produces downhole products for drilling activities in North America. Our plant has high demand and is operating 24/7 to produce these products for our customers. To meet the demand for our products, we provide employees with an air-conditioned environment, a highly organized and clean 300,000 SQ. ft. fabrication facility, new CNC Machines (Mazak, Mori Sieke, DMG Mori, Weiler, etc.), and a strong safety program designed to ensure our team goes home safe to their families after every shift.

What's the Job Like? PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist, responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines such as, but not limited to, lathes and milling machines in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. Operate, perform set-up changes, and first article inspections on production runs utilizing CNC Machines. Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements. Identify problems before production runs, then start and observe machine operation to detect any other malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machine controls or control media as required. Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements. Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and cutting tools to be used. Prove out new programs and make simple edits of NC programs on at least one or more numerically controlled machines. Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. Read, interpret, and understand information in work orders, Bill of Materials, and other related documentation inside the job packet. Perform inspection of raw material or verify part serial number before machining. Perform work in a safe efficient manner within established work instructions and special processes. Perform finish product inspections. Maximize yields during job and maintain high quality standard to minimize defects. Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery. Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards. Champion facility goals for Safety, Quality, Innovation, and Cost - seek opportunities to provide feedback on process improvements, cost savings, and opportunities to work more efficiently and/or safely. Remain open to feedback and collaboration with other departments and business units. All other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to pass a drug screen & background check. 2+ years of CNC mill or lathe experience. Knowledge of G & M Codes. 1+ years knowledge of standard safety and manufacturing processes preferred. 2+ years of experience in a machine shop/manufacturing facility is preferred. Experience with reading part drawings/blueprints is preferred. Familiarity with measurement tools is preferred. Computer experience is preferred.
