We provide integrated services in website and mobile application design, user experience, systems architecture, solutions architecture, website development, mobile application development, testing, maintenance, and hosting.
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our national team and be based at our innovative Brisbane offices.

Digital Our Digital team applies the latest technological innovations to our client's complex problems across sectors and projects.
Our integrated service combines software development, data analytics, visualisation, digital engineering, GIS, and cloud technologies to deliver information and efficiency that supports decision-making, time and cost savings, and improved community outcomes.
Some of the exciting projects the team have worked on, have included: Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) - TMR have tested and deployed Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) in real-world, large-scale deployments in Queensland.
WSP has been working with TMR to provide technical expert support, including centralised application development and the Integration and DevOps of AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
Sydney Water - In response to high-volume breakdown maintenance activities, the DevOps team designed and implemented a new approach to planning and scheduling mechanical and electrical asset maintenance.
Telstra Digital Workflow - We developed an online forms service that allows NSW Family and Community Services (FACS) applicants to fill out, submit, and manage applications and responsible parties to be notified and contribute to the application workflow.
Energy Rating – We built a website that facilitates evaluatiing and issuing of energy ratings for electrical appliances for sale in Australia and New Zealand.
If you would like to see more of the cool things that our Digital team at WSP get up to, please do check out their dedicated website, here - https://www.wspdigital.com/) What you'll do: As Cloud Engineer, you will be one of our key AWS Champions and be instrumental in maintaining, delivering, and implementing AWS cloud infrastructure solutions across many client projects and architectures.
A typical day would look like (but not be limited to) : Working directly with clients and development teams supporting the end-to-end software development lifecycle (incl.
architecture, solution, testing, deployment, support, root cause analysis and post-mortem)  Deploying Cloud solutions that focus on availability, reliability and performance.
Develop automation scripts and use infrastructure as code techniques to implement CI/CD pipelines.
Securing the systems/networks, implement monitoring and improve system observability.
Ensuring compliance with information security management systems and policies.
Assisting with the design and documentation of technical specifications of hosted architecture.
Project managing your own workflow to achieve exceptional outcomes on time/budget.
Driving yourself to learn and grow by keeping ahead of the latest developments and technologies.
Occasionally, you may be called upon outside of working hours to ensure the availability of hosted applications.
About You To be successful in this role, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer with proven, solid experience deploying, maintaining and supporting AWS Cloud environments.
We will also be interested to hear from you, if you posses the following skills:  DevOps Practices: A solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience in automating builds, deployments, and monitoring to improve software development and operations efficiency.
Snowflake : Comfortable working with Snowflake for data storage and management.
Able to perform administrative tasks, load, query, and optimise data.
Terraform : Experience using Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure and write scripts that build and manage resources effortlessly.
AWS Cloud : Hands-on experience with key AWS services like EC2, S3, and RDS with skills in designing and running scalable cloud setups.
AWS CodePipeline : Setting up CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline and streamlining code, configuration and infrastructure deployments  AWS Lambda : Skill at creating and managing serverless apps with AWS Lambda and how to handle event-driven tasks using other AWS tools and services.
Monitoring and Logging : Using tools like CloudWatch to make sure everything's running smoothly and can troubleshoot when it's not.
Security : Understand how to keep cloud setups secure and be familiar with IAM, security groups, and compliance with standards.
