We welcome you to join our award-winning multidisciplinary Renal team based at Lismore, supporting excellent patient-centred care across the Richmond and Clarence region of the Northern Rivers. The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Peritoneal Dialysis a leadership role, where experience and knowledge is used for patient training, staff competency development, clinical excellence, quality projects and case management. The PD unit provides home training and outreach support from the Byron hinterland to the Clarence Valley and western rural range. Case coordination occurs with external service providers in the community setting and coordination of acute care for inpatient presentations. The PD unit is staffed with one CNS2 full time and part time RNCNS1s and is located with the haemodialysis unit at the newly developed Lismore Base Hospital, with NUM and allied health staff on site for support. The CNS2 Peritoneal Dialysis coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patientsclients in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's National Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, criteria for CNS2 as outlined in the Public Hospital Nurses and Midwives (State) Award and the Policies and Procedures of the MoH and NNSWLHD.

The CNS2 Peritoneal Dialysis plans, delivers and evaluates patient training, and staff competency development and education.
