About your opportunity: In this position you will provide advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning, and coordination skills in the clinical management of Emergency Department patients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met.
This role works autonomously within the healthcare team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing, and delivering of Emergency specialist nursing care.
The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice in collaboration with the broader leadership team.
About your role: Provide effective and efficient clinical care in the area of clinical specialty and work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Consultant's to ensure the maintenance of safe standards and best quality patient care.Delegate to and supervises Registered Nurses (RN's), Enrolled Nurses Advanced Skills (ENAS's), Undergraduate Students in Nursing (USIN), Enrolled Nurses (EN's), Assistant in Nursing (AIN's) and undergraduate students as required consistent with the NMBA decision making framework and CN standards for practice.Practice collaboratively and provide clinical leadership within the interdisciplinary health care team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups.Demonstrate participation in developing, evaluating, and updating clinical service procedures, protocols, standards, and guidelines.Apply contemporary human resource management principles to ensure that the unit working environment meets legislative standards and CHHHS policies and procedures.As a Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service employee, you will receive competitive remuneration and access to: Salary packagingAnnual incremental increasesCareer training and developmentWellness programsVaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) evidence as required for your employment in accordance with legislation/government policy and Directives.
