Clinical Nurse Consultant - Trauma (522704)Australia, TasAbout Tasmania GovernmentAbout the Tasmanian State ServiceThe Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.Areas of responsibility include:Trauma system quality improvement.Coordinating continuing educational trauma-related activities for the hospital.Coordinate and lead trauma case management.You will need:Extensive experience with demonstrated advanced level of clinical expertise in surgical or perioperative, critical care or emergency department nursing; completely patient/client focused, demonstrates self-awareness of the effects of behaviour on others, manages ambiguity and complexity, and demonstrates resilience in the delivery of safe and quality patient care.Demonstrated ability to provide contemporary leadership together with the ability to initiate, guide and motivate a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated ability to implement and evaluate change and develop direction in clinical practice through planning, quality improvement, research, and clinical risk management activities to address emerging service needs in relation to Safety and Quality.Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and proven ability to present reports, educate, influence and be credible to a range of health professionals and consumers.Demonstrated advanced specialist knowledge, experience, and clinical skills in relation to Safety and Quality and the NSQHS Standards and other relevant professional organisations in surgical and perioperative care, with a demonstrated awareness of professional, legal, and ethical issues which impact on service delivery.The Team:The Trauma Service is a multidisciplinary team responsible for inpatient management of major and complex trauma patients at the Royal Hobart Hospital. The Trauma Service oversees trauma system governance, continuous quality improvement, the Tasmanian trauma registry, professional workforce development and trauma research.Details of appointment:Permanent, part-time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum (Pro rata).
