The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) demonstrates expert clinical knowledge and advanced clinical problem-solving skills and is accountable for their own clinical practice.The Townsville Hospital Renal Unit provides acute and chronic renal replacement therapy in a variety of settings, including incentre, satellite and home-based haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, to patients with Renal Failure. The Renal Unit staff also provide regular education and outreach services to community groups, other staff and family members involved in caring for people with renal failure within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.What's on Offer? (Remuneration)Generous remuneration package value up to $13,724 p.m. comprising:Salary range of $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7)Annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts.The Ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:Provide expert nursing leadership and coordination within a Renal environment.Sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards.Integrate the strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement into the clinical service, establishing a quality framework.Advanced leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and change management skills to ensure customer-focused service provision amongst the multidisciplinary team.High level of communication skills required for problem-solving and decision-making.RequirementsQualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and possession of a current practising certificate.Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline-specific or have a service area focus.Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
