About the department: Palliative Care Services, based at the Olivia Newton-John Centre, provides specialist palliative care to patients with cancer and any other life limiting illness.
This includes via a 24-bed specialist inpatient Palliative Care Unit, a Palliative Care Consultancy service to the acute inpatients of the Austin Hospital, a specialist Palliative Care Clinic, a Palliative Care acute community inreach services (with visits to patients' residence or residential aged care facility), and liaising with Community Palliative Care Service providers.
