The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) WA is embarking on an exciting journey with our Strategy 2024 – 2028, focused on expanding our Primary Health Care services.
We're thrilled to announce the launch of our inaugural Goldfields Community Health Centre —RFDS General Practice Clinic in Kalgoorlie — a collaborative initiative with the Curtin Goldfields University Department of Rural Health.
Together, we aim to provide invaluable hands-on experiences for students while empowering the Kalgoorlie and Goldfields communities to manage their health with a focus on preventative care and health promotion.
About You RFDS WA is looking for a Clinical Lead General Practitioner, who will provide clinical leadership for the RFDS General Practice Clinic and support the delivery of high-quality care to patients and the community.
You will need to have prior experience working in a clinical leadership position, and hold your AHPRA Medical Registration, along with specialist qualifications of FRACGP or FACRRM.
The role is a permanent full-time position, based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, and we would love for you to call it home.

Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA.
A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care.

The RFDS in WA operates five bases in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra.
Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State.
We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers.
In 2024, the RFDS launched a new five-year strategy 'Above and Beyond', which will mark an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history.
The strategy will include a focus on expanding remote health clinics in some of WA's most vulnerable communities, expanding our profit-for-purpose services, strengthening our workforce, harnessing technology and addressing our environmental sustainability.
