An exciting Clinical Educator opportunity exists within the Intensive Care Unit team!
In this role you join the ICU Education Team.
You will be responsible for welcoming and inducting new staff as well as delivering clinical education to junior staff commencing their ICU career journey.
Using formal and informal teaching methods, you will be an integral part of growing the ICU team.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Nurse Educator ICU this role is integral to maintaining a positive learning culture by being a resource person, encouraging reflection and professional development activities.
Duties for the role will include:
Delivering clinical teaching and overseeing learning experience of new staff and staff with less experience.
Assisting with teaching and assessing SAHLN mandatory accreditations.
Plan and coordinate services including those from other disciplines.
Monitoring patient/client care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis.
Assist and support the Nurse Educator and Nurse Unit Managers or equivalent in management, clinical, and education activities.
About you:
Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Demonstrated expert experience and competence in Intensive Care nursing practice.
Holds a Post Graduate University qualification in Critical Care Nursing.
Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the healthcare setting.
