Civil Project EngineerRequired for a 12-month contract role based in Perth. You will be reporting to the Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the civil engineering aspects of wind farm development, from initial planning through to construction and commissioning. This role requires a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, project management experience, and a passion for renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:Project planning and management of civil engineering design and construction works packages to support wind farm projects.Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure the project stays on track.Assist in the development of tender works packages including scopes of works, pricing schedules, specifications, and documentation requirements list.Assist in obtaining necessary permits and ensuring that all civil engineering work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.Liaise with regulatory bodies, environmental agencies, and other stakeholders to secure approvals.Prepare regular project reports, including progress updates, cost tracking, and risk assessments.Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including design drawings, permits, and inspection reports.Act as a liaison between different stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and team members.Facilitate communication to ensure that everyone is aligned and informed about project progress and changes.Identify potential risks and issues that could impact the project.Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and address any problems that arise.Ensure engineering work meets quality standards and project specifications.Implement quality control processes and conduct inspections as necessary.Work closely with other engineers and professionals to ensure seamless integration of various project components.Ability to travel to project sites as required, including remote locations.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, or a related field.Civil experience in an engineering and/or projects role.Strong project management skills and able to work effectively within a team.Experience in the preparation of cost estimates for civil engineering works, monitoring project costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.Ensuring that all civil engineering activities are completed within the allocated budget and schedule.Strong understanding of civil engineering and construction principles, including site design, roads, water management infrastructure and foundations.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and project components effectively.Capability to lead project teams, foster collaboration, and motivate team members.Demonstrable commitment and proactive approach to health and safety culture.Ability to identify issues, analyze them, and develop effective solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to facilitate meetings and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.Prior mining or renewables project experience desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
