We are currently seeking a dedicated Operational Manager for Civil works to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing success.
Position Overview: As a manager at URB, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating construction activities related to under road boring projects.
Working collaboratively with management staff, your leadership and technical expertise will ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of civil workers and equipment operators on under road boring projects.Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety guidelines, and quality standards.Monitor project progress, schedules, and budgets, and report any deviations to management.Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.Perform regular site inspections and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and equipment logs.Manage equipment maintenance and repair schedules to minimise downtime.Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and productivity.Promote a culture of safety and quality within the team.Provide quotes for clients, taking costings and URB resources into consideration.Assist managing director with operational and strategic planning.Qualifications: Experience in civil construction supervision or management preferred.Relevant certifications or qualifications in civil engineering, under road boring or a related field.Strong leadership and communication skills.Knowledge of civil works and horizontal direction drilling (HDD) preferred.Familiarity with construction industry regulations and safety standards.Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their relevant experience and qualifications to ******.
