Due to our company's growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team. This full-time, permanent position is based in our Adelaide office. You will report directly to the Sports & Recreation manager.
Civil Engineering Draftsperson MLEI Consulting Engineers OPPORTUNITYProvide accurate and efficient design and drafting services to our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborating with the Drafting and Engineering team for project development.Utilising computer-aided design (CAD) software to create comprehensive and detailed designs.Producing design sketches, diagrams, and layouts to illustrate workflow.Involved in a diverse range of Sport & Recreation projects, including new facilities, renovations, additions, and complex structures, as well as surrounding infrastructure.Handling drafting tasks, including the development of drawings from initial concepts to detailed and finalised drawings for civil engineering aspects of the Sports & Recreation projects such as stormwater drainage, water supply, sewerage systems, foundations, ground works and supporting and in-ground structures.Coordination with other in-house disciplines and external consultants on the project.Conducting on-site inspections and preparing detailed reports for works associated with projects in the Sports & Recreation portfolio.POSITION REQUIREMENTSA minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.Possession of an AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or a minimum of three years of relevant experience as an alternative to formal qualifications.Thorough understanding of drafting standards.Strong background in science, mathematics, and engineering technology.Deep technical proficiency in the field.Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.Capability to work well in a team, demonstrate initiative, and recognise when to seek further information.Accuracy, neatness, and patience in drawing work.Motivation, listening, and problem-solving skills.WHAT WE OFFERIn addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits to support your professional development and well-being:
