We are currently seeking for a dedicated and creative Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team.
This role will be responsible for the following key tasks:
· Collaborate with engineers and other staff to understand project requirements and provide sketches to reflect intended designs.
· Prepare drafts through computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce possible designs needed.
· Conduct field inspections to gather data from selected sites and properties.
· Monitor the safety compliance of construction sites to help address vulnerable risks present on site.
· Assist in the preparation of new and existing projects, and other technical documentation needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
· Analyse work assignment instructions provided by project managers and other superior staff; communicate with the team to ensure accurate records and other work-related documentation.
· Conduct surveys and computations, equipment monitoring data, and other information necessary for given projects.
· Estimate costs and quantities for materials needed for projects.
· Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing.
· Document observations from inspections and identify risks to maintain the project's quality.
· Coordinate with the team and other people involved to ensure maintenance and compliance with project protocols.
· Conduct and record test results of construction materials to analyse its properties and performance characteristics.
Position requirements:
· A degree or diploma in civil engineering, drafting, or any related field. Relevant certifications are also accepted.
· Training in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
· Training or familiar with relevant software tools necessary in drafting.
· Understand drafting standards and other practices necessary for engineering projects.
· Attention to detail and excellent time management skill.
· Good communication skills and an effective team player.
