Our client is a global leading provider of engineering and project management services executing world-class solutions for more than 40 years to the energy and resource sectors. From concept, design, to construction and commissioning, they have delivered an array of diverse projects for both industry and governments in Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu.
We currently seek a solid Civil Engineer (intermediate to senior) for a project based outside of Australia. Ideally seeking a solid generalist, a multi-skilled / multi-disciplined operator who has experience with projects outside of Australia, bringing an understanding of how various stakeholders, including Government departments (DFAT etc.), operate.
This role requires an individual who can fluidly manage and cooperate with various parties and moving parts of a project. This is an immediate requirement for an eight months plus project, with more projects to follow. This is a contract role.
The best individual will understand a project from concept to construction – the entire process. RPEQ is preferred, not essential. What is essential is experience with the following:
Roads/highways, earthworks, drainage, sewer, and pavements. Experience with car parks, schools, hospitals, and subdivisions. Experience and understanding of how there are very different ways of designing for each element of the project. Experience/conversance with 12D. Ability to work autonomously and smoothly collaborate with various teams locally and abroad. Extensive client liaisons and stakeholder management, including contractors and third parties. Technical reporting. Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills – a calm and cool mindset to seamlessly influence and coordinate teams of people. Curious?
