About cieventsAbout the Opportunity:We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, connected and dynamic Business Development Manager to join the cievents Brisbane based team. This position is available for Full Time employment.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you'll be responsible for managing an extended sales cycle through a mixture of prospecting, networking, tender submissions and client relationship building with the end result being new business development for the cievents brand.
Our team delivers high customer satisfaction with the customer at our core.
As an experienced Business Development Manager, you'll have exceptional written and verbal presentation skills, strong negotiation skills and the ability to represent cievents when building relationships with prospects.

The Role:In this role, you will manage a portfolio to lead the acquisition of new customers – to research market opportunities, to develop a compelling strategy, and to execute with precision and discipline.
We’re seeking professionals with demonstrable skills and experience:
To identify and engage customer contacts at all levels – executives, decision makers, influencers, stakeholders – working across various industry segments and customer tiers
To develop strategic sales plans and foster professional relationships with the goal to create and close sales opportunities, with exceptional and consistent results including a high level of customer satisfaction
To build and manage a pipeline through cold-calling, face-to-face appointments, and networking; – with emphasis on generating leads and progressing opportunities from prospect to loyal customer
To communicate clearly and persuasively (verbal, written) in order to present a compelling business case for action, with articulation of value and benefits that resonate for customers
To project manage opportunities through their lifecycle – to make our company accessible, relevant and responsive to customers throughout the engagement
To research, author and present business proposals and tender responses with meticulous detail, tailoring each response to your customer’s requirements.
Staying ahead of market trends and industry developments, ensuring you're ahead of the competition.
To challenge the status quo, to innovate by finding smarter and more effective ways to deliver value – to the customer and the team.
About you:Minimum 3 years event agency or 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a Business Development or Account Management role
A driven and ambitious new sales hunter, with a focus on exceeding targets
A strong relationship builder, with existing networks within the Melbourne corporate market.
Proficient in creating and delivering proposals to clients
Experience in managing budgets
Ability to multi-task and manage priorities
Honed negotiation skills to deliver value for the customer
Ability to solve complex challenges with original solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
