Medical Specialists (Healthcare & Medical)Government - Federal (Government & Defence)Employment Type: Full timeThe Chief Psychiatrist is a full-time role that will provide dedicated psychiatric expertise to support clinical governance across our mental and social health programs and will promote continuous improvement in the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA). The position will be pivotal to DVA in supporting the best mental health outcomes for veterans and their families. Reflecting the significance of this role, it will report directly to the Secretary.The Chief Psychiatrist will provide expert psychiatric, medical, and more general mental health advice on current and emerging issues to key stakeholders including Government, senior staff in DVA, and other government departments as required.
