We are a leading provider of business advisory, tax and audit services to clients locally and internationally.
PKF Brisbane comprises 85 staff in the main Brisbane office in the CBD, a small contingent in Townsville and support from external contractors.
The firm has grown significantly in recent years through a combination of organic growth and merger activity. The person successfully appointed to the COO role will work with the senior leadership team to further drive profitable growth.
About the role We are looking for a motivated and reliable Chief Operations Officer to join our team on a full-time basis at our Brisbane CBD office.
The primary focus of the role will be leadership of the firm's practice management group and function, which includes finance, marketing, BD, HR, IT and general administration.
The COO will also be responsible for working closely with the firm's Managing Partner on business planning and strategy, implementation of strategy and managing the firm's tenancy arrangements, Partner meeting calendar, legal affairs, insurance arrangements and firm M&A initiatives.
The role plays a prominent role within PKF Brisbane and will involve representing the business within the broader PKF network.
You will also represent PKF with various external stakeholders and referrer organisations.
To be considered for the position, you should possess the following: Experience in leading functional areas, such as HR, marketing, BD, IT and administration Experience in human resources and managing legal matters, insurance and mergers/acquisitions is preferred but not essential Experience in accounting, budgeting and analysis of monthly results against benchmarks is preferred but not essential Experience in business planning and strategy is preferred but not essential Strong communication skills and ability to establish productive relationships with key stakeholders Ability to plan, organise and implement strategy Experience at a senior leadership level in professional services firms (accounting in particular) would be advantageous Ability to make sound commercial decisions and provide commercial advice to senior leaders A degree qualification in business or commerce To be considered, please submit a resume and cover letter.
