The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) is a cornerstone of the real estate profession in Queensland, committed to empowering its members and enhancing the industry through standards, education, and advocacy. We are searching for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive team and drive strategic financial initiatives.The Role

As CFO, you will report to the CEO and oversee the Finance Department, IT, and Office Manager. Your key responsibilities will include presenting financials and forecasts to the Board and Finance, Audit, and Risk Management (FARM) Committee, driving budget processes, overseeing the risk management framework, and leading financial technology improvements. You will ensure the REIQ's long-term financial stability and contribute data insights for both internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership:

Prepare board papers, manage audits, and work with FARM to maintain liquidity and align with financial policies.Technology and Systems:

Lead technological advancements and maintain IT infrastructure in line with risk management standards.Risk Management:

Oversee REIQ's risk management framework, ensuring board disclosures are accurate and timely.Team Management:

Cultivate a positive team culture, provide constructive feedback, and support recruitment.About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

10+ years in senior finance roles with a proven track record working with BoardsCA/CPA qualifications and a Bachelor's DegreeStrong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to manage finance teams effectively and collaborate across senior leadershipWhy Join Us?
