Guardian Childcare and Education Flinders Street are seeking an enthusiastic Centre Cook to join their team!Position OverviewAs the Centre Cook at Guardian Flinders Street, it is your role to plan and prepare nutritious, well-presented, and appropriate meals and snacks for children within the Centre. You will be required to plan and display, in consultation with the Centre Manager, Educators, families and children, a menu for all children which is nutritional, well balanced, and suited to their individual dietary requirements. The Centre Manager will provide support to you, through one-to-one meetings, regular communication, suggestions, and feedback.OpportunityDevelop a seasonal, nutritious menu that respects individual requirements regarding medical conditions, food preferences, and cultural considerations and ensures children's health and wellbeing.Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, that is the Education and Care Services and National Law and National Regulations, the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework.Meet the relevant standards of the Food Standards Code in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory body in your state/territory.Adhere to all relevant Guardian Way Policies and Procedures.Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, educators, families and the community.Contribute to the implementation of the Guardian Curriculum.Liaise with the Centre Manager to ensure families are notified as soon as possible of any changes to the menu.To be considered, you will have:Food Handling certificate.Food Safety Supervisor certificate is desirable.Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards (desirable).Valid Working with Children's Check.An awareness of personal responsibilities under the current Child Protection Laws.Apply nowBe inspired, be inspiring, and introduce us to the Creator in you.
