We seek an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine and a proven ability to prepare authentic dishes while adhering to quality and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities:
Direct food preparation to meet special dietary requirements. Manage stock inventory and order high-quality raw materials. Train and mentor kitchen staff and apprentices. Provide instructions on cooking equipment and demonstrate different cooking styles. Ensure meals are prepared according to hygiene standards and served on time. Design and amend menus, plan seasonal specials, and ensure staff adhere to Occupational health and safety measures. Prepare dishes according to menu and recipes. Ensure food is stored in temperature-controlled facilities. Monitor the quality of raw and cooked food. Analyze and approximate food and human resource prices. Ensure seasoning and garnishing are done appropriately and the right portion of food is served. Effectively deal with and rectify issues for smooth business operations.
Skills and Experience:
Diploma level qualification required. At least 3 years' experience. Able to work under minimum supervision. Positive attitude. Team player. Available at weekends.
Salary Package: $65,000 - $80,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
