The RoleGraze 'n' Dine seeks a skilled chef to oversee kitchen operations, manage food preparation teams, and design menus based on seasonal changes, ingredient availability, popularity, and demand. The ideal candidate will work efficiently under pressure, possess knowledge of various foods and ingredients, effective communication skills, and the ability to adapt to customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare customer orders according to requirementsMaintain food safety protocols and ensure kitchen staff adhere to guidelinesExercise caution in hazardous situations involving knives and high-temperature surfacesSelect premium ingredients for optimal flavourCreate menus tailored to seasonal changes and circumstancesDetermine optimal food quantities and maintain inventory levels through regular stock takesStay up-to-date on cooking trends and restaurant industry developments to provide unique experiencesWork efficiently during peak periods, such as weekends and large functionsTake on additional duties like cleaning when necessaryCollaborate with administrative teams and take direction when requiredRequirements:Retail or hospitality qualifications (or 3 years of relevant experience)At least 3 years of experience as a chef in a similar environmentMenu curation and creation skillsPre-planning and ordering expertiseQuality dish preparation and presentationKitchen management, including staff supervision and trainingHealth and safety standardsIndustry trend analysis and market adaptationJob DetailsJob Type: Full-time
