We are committed to driving significant growth and are seeking a Commercially minded CFO to work in partnership with the MD to execute the overall company strategy.
About your new role!
Part of the ELT, the commercial CFO role will be to support the development of business and strategic plans with the overall goal of driving significant revenue growth in the next 3-5 years.
The successful candidate will be an experienced finance leader who adds genuine value to the MD and the Executive Team from a commercial and strategic perspective.
Managing and mentoring the team (Finance and Technology) is also a crucial part of the role.
There is also potential for this role to evolve into a COO-style of role.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning - Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives. Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to formulate and implement business plans. Financial Management - Oversee all financial operations including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Year-end reporting. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Budgeting and Forecasting - Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities. Analyse variances between actual results and budget/forecast and provide actionable insights. Revenue Optimization - Implement strategies to increase revenue and balance the revenue distribution across the group. Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams. Cost Management - Monitor and control operational costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Oversee manufacturing costing, including goods and labour analysis. Cash Flow Management - Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability. Optimize working capital and manage credit facilities. Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and technology teams. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Business Partnering - Build and maintain strong business partnering relationships with key stakeholders, including the Managing Director, ELT, and Board. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Systems and Processes - Enhance financial systems, processes, and controls, ensuring they support the company's growth and operational efficiency. Operational Efficiency - Drive operational improvements and streamline processes across the organization. Stakeholder Communication - Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Present financial results and strategic initiatives to the Board and other key stakeholders. Change Management - Lead change initiatives and transformation projects across the organization. Promote a continuous improvement mindset and drive cultural change. About you!
Must have a proven track record of successfully operating at the CFO level in a fast-paced environment. During this time, you have been hands-on, have a high level of commercial acumen, supported the strategic growth of the business and driven transformation initiatives.
Additionally, you will have a people-centric leadership style and the ability to embed finance throughout the organisation as a true business partner & advisor.
You will be CA or CPA qualified and experience in the manufacturing or construction sector is preferred.
