The College is seeking applications from qualified and experienced teachers for casual relief positions in the following Key Learning Areas: Mathematics, Science and PDHPE.
St Mary Star of the Sea College is a Good Samaritan Catholic girls’ school for Years 7-12 located in Wollongong. The College is a technology-rich environment which encourages innovation and creativity through its IB Middle Years Program (Years 7-10), promoting Catholic values through its high standard of pastoral care and commitment to collaborative teaching and learning. Essential Criteria Strong knowledge of curriculum including appropriate teaching qualifications and accreditationAwareness and preparedness to embrace MYP principles and approachesSuccessful teaching experience or pre-service experiencesAn ability and interest in the integration of ICT to supplement and support education in the classroomUnderstanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of an all girl Catholic College embracing the Good Samaritan and Benedictine traditionWell developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentKnowledge of the holistic approach to education which challenges the creativity, initiative and ability of each student.
Willingness to operate within the Pastoral Care framework of the CollegeDesirable Criteria Qualifications and experience teaching Religious Education and/or other KLA coursesOther Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers - Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2020This is a child-related position.
