Carpenter

Tricastle Construction PTY LTD is looking for a full-time Carpenter able to perform general Carpentry duties on our building projects throughout Melbourne. We are based in Moorabbin Victoria

Duties include:

· Build moulds that retain wet concrete in the construction of foundations and other concrete structures;

· Stripping and cleaning timber formwork structures.

· Building new forms on top of previously poured concrete for high rise structures.

· Assemble manufactured forms, made from steel, wood or heavy plastic

· Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required such as timber frames or wallboards' dimensions and frames installation procedures;

· Working harmoniously alongside teammates and purchase ordering officer to order all appropriate materials required to complete the job;

· Preparing layouts for clients to approve prior to commencing work;

· Select the correct materials and sizes according to the building project drawings;

· Measure, cut or shape of materials as required for the job;

· Help erect, level and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes;

· Constructs and installs frames and floorboards structures;

· Performing repair work when required;

· Performing quality insurance checks to verify trueness of wood frames and floor structures, their accuracy and precision

. Training of apprentices when required

Requirements: At least a relevant Certificate III or IV qualification plus two years of full time post-qualification experience in the relevant position; OR at least 3 years of experience as a Carpenter.

Salary ; $70 - 80k per annum plus superannuation.
