RoleTime Fraction This position is a 1.0 FTE, with an attendance requirement of 5 days per week.
Hours of Work: 8:00 - 4:06pm - subject to change.
Attendance requirement up to 6 days during school vacations.
Performs and/or supervises tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice and school policy. This may include the supervision and coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
Provides support to teachers and students that is beyond the routine support provided at education support class Level 1, range 1.
ResponsibilitiesThe role requires a motivated individual willing to undertake the full range of administrative tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of a secondary school.
The successful applicant will need to be multi-skilled, have a capacity to be flexible, and be able to multi-task in a busy environment. The applicant must also have strong IT capacity and be proficient specifically in the use of Excel, Word and Google Suite (Workspace).
Curriculum and Career Action Plan Development Support the implementation of student Careers and Pathways programs as well as careers curriculum.Support the Careers team with the implementation of subject selection, acceleration, distance education, including information processes and production of resources.Counselling & other exit-related support: Support with the Pathway Planning process which will include guidance and education around the VTAC/SEAS process; support interstate and overseas applications.Ensure accurate and up to date records/databases are maintained for counselling, pathway planning, including archiving.Assist Year 9-11 students to find information, make decisions and take action to build appropriate career pathways.Independently complete and follow up destination data for students who have completed Year 12.Work Experience Support with the Work Experience process in conjunction with other relevant school leaders.Other Support the Careers team with careers-related queries, including information sessions and related events as needed.Manage the use of and access to school resources and reference materials.Respond responsively to student and staff enquiries (in person and via email) relating to Careers, subject selection, VET, Distance Education and Uni enhancement.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
