DescriptionEmployment Type: Full Time, Permanent & Full-time & Part-time (22.05 hours per week), Temporary 12 months with possibility of extension and/or permanency.Classification: Health Professional Officer Level 3 (PN 28845, 28777, 28674, 58506)Salary: $105,900 - $119,774 (Plus 11.5% Super)Location: The Canberra Hospital, GarranSection: Acute Allied Health Services - PhysiotherapyClosing Date: 19 November 2024What can we offer you:City living without the traffic – click here to see why you should live in Canberra.Competitive pay rates and excellent working conditions within a tertiary hospital.Salary Packaging with many options that provide full fringe benefits tax concessions.Flexible working conditions.Reimbursement of relocation expenses for interstate candidates (subject to review and approval).About the Role:Acute Allied Health Services (AAHS) Physiotherapy provides services to a range of clients in acute inpatient wards at Canberra Hospital including critical care areas ICU and CCU, and medical and surgical specialties of General Medicine, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Renal, Cardiology, Oncology, General Surgery, Cardiothoracic, Vascular and Urology.Cardiorespiratory physiotherapy services are also provided to a range of specialised outpatient services including but not limited to Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Heart Function, Respiratory Outpatients, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery programs and multidisciplinary Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis clinics.Our physiotherapists work closely with patients, carers, referrers, other health care professionals and multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe, high quality patient care.
Acute physiotherapy inpatient care is delivered across 7 days with extended hours of service provision.
Cardiorespiratory HP3s can work in varying inpatient and outpatient areas depending on operational service needs and individual interest and development requirements.HP3 Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapists are supported operationally, professionally and clinically through team leaders, clinical leads, clinical educators and manager.An Advanced Skills Allowance (ASA) is available to eligible HPO3s and is a mechanism to recognize and promote the development of advanced skills of health professionals.
