Butcher Al Siddique Investments Pty Ltd , is currently seeking a talented Full Time Butcher to join their team at their Al Yaseen Halal Butchery in Lakemba.
Key Responsibilities : Preparing meat in accordance with laid down procedures.
Reducing meat wastage wherever possible.
Ensuring the availability of quality meat for customers.
Receiving deliveries of meat and checking their content and hygiene.
Weigh, wrap, and display cuts of meat Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Preparing poultry by cleaning, cutting and discarding inedible parts.
Planning for seasonal changes and reacting accordingly.
Cutting, boning, trimming and mincing meat to shape and size for display or as ordered Preparing crumbed cuts of meat, and marinating, seasoning and curing special cuts Selecting and preparing meat to produce smallgoods Operating machines to grind, mix, mince and tenderise meat Making seasonings and pickles by mixing spices, salt and other ingredients Operating sausage filling machines, smoking chambers, and cooking kettles and vats Advising customers on the suitability and uses of cuts of meat Ensuring that all meat is handled and stored correctly.
Preparing special cuts of meats ordered by customers.
Carrying out temperature checks on meat and recording the readings accordingly.
Using processing, fabricating and packing machines.
Cutting and weighing steaks; preparing roasts, chops, stew cubes, and ground meat.
Keep inventory of meat sales and order meat supplies Clean equipment and work areas to comply with all health, sanitation, and legal regulations.
An ideal candidate must have : Excellent customer service skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Excellent organizational and time management skills Skilled in knife handling Experience Required: Relevant experience in a similar field.
