About the Division
People Strategy and Operations (VPS) division focuses on continuous improvement of the systems and processes for end-to-end HR operations for corporate staff, and accommodation services, whilst also providing strategic advice and support. Specific objectives in the division's business plan cover the delivery of strategic and operational services that meet client needs, improving policies, smarter systems and better processes, and building the Division's profile within the department.
About the Role
The Business Support Officer role provides comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the People Strategy and Operations executive team ensuring effective management of both day-to-day activities and long-term projects while closely monitoring deadlines. Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating meetings and events
Preparing and managing correspondence and procurement activities
Maintaining accurate recordkeeping and relationship management
Overseeing quality assurance
Coordinating specific projects
Additionally, the role provides high-level executive support to the Directors of Workforce Strategy and Capability and People Services branches.
Capabilities
To be successful in this role, you will have a can-do attitude, possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to liaise and engage with stakeholders of various levels, and the ability to be agile in the workplace. You will have demonstrated administration and coordination skills with strong planning and organising capability.
