Apply now Job no: 501558 Work type: Fixed Term Location: South Brisbane Categories: Administration About the role Mater Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Support Officer to join the team at South Brisbane on a maximum term contract until November 2024 in a full-time capacity, ASAP commencement.
The Business Support Officer plays a key role in the delivery of exceptional service to Mater patients, relatives and staff.
The core function of the role is to support the daily administrative operational requirements of the ward/unit with a specific focus on operational efficiency.
This role will be a relief role, during the initial few weeks you will be based in a specific department, allowing you to immerse yourself in the department's operations and gain valuable insights.
This will serve as a solid foundation for your role as a relief support, as you will be able to understand the unique requirements of each department and address their needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities: Exercise judgement and initiative within defined procedures, precedents, guidelines and instructions.
Support and assist other team members within the business as required.
Diary management.
Assist with meetings / huddles.
Maintain and support areas specific spreadsheets / databases / calendar.
Assist with preparation of correspondence and distribution.
About you High level of customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide efficient and effective administration support in a timely and organised manner.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, patients and visitors.
Accurate data entry skills with a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and departmental databases and other software applications.
Qualifications, continuing education programs and experience may be used to demonstrate skill, knowledge and/or ability relevant to the position.
Minimum of 2 years experience working within a private practice highly desirable.
