Our Client, a large federal government Agency is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their Data and Analytics Branch which supports the Agency by providing high quality data and reporting, and translating insights into measurable business performance improvements. It focuses on delivering data and reporting while building data literacy capability across the branch and regions.
The position is a team leadership position within the Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. The role is required to provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership within the work area.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Translating subject-matter expert and stakeholder discussions into data and reporting products;
Translating key data insights into value adding products;
Articulating complex information into clear and straightforward messages and providing specialist advice that key stakeholders with varied levels of data literacy can consume;
Designing and building reports, dashboards and data products, support business processes, completing complex tasks and delivering business insight;
Driving best practice across the Analytics Chapter to ensure consistent analytics methodology and approach, facilitating initiatives and contributing to business improvement strategies;
Building, developing and maintaining code base;
Mentoring and leading of junior analysts.
Essential criteria
Advanced programming expertise (eg. SAS and/or SQL);
Proven ability to extract and manipulate data whilst maintaining accuracy and consistency.
