The opportunity has come available to join our dedicated sales team as our Victorian Business Development Manager. We are seeking a motivated and mature minded individual to take ownership of the Victorian market with a strategic business development and account management approach. You will be given the autonomy and flexibility to develop and execute your own territory plan with the support from an overarching national strategy and a supportive national sales team which takes pride in supporting one another.
You will be taking over an established territory that has experienced significant growth in recent years and is expected to continue growing with a customer development, product champion approach.
Halgan are an Australian owned business with a strong market presence, manufacturing a wide range of environmental solutions products such as pump stations, grease arrestors, oil water separators, rainwater tanks and much more. With over 30 years in the industry, we have strong market share and are well known within the commercial plumbing sector, so you will be joining a market leader with strong relationships across plumbing merchants, commercial plumbers, hydraulic engineers, and various industry bodies.
Key Responsibilities: Engage with all current distribution partners and expand our market channels. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with a strategic approach across Victoria. Build and maintain a strong relationship with an extensive network of major plumbing supplier merchants, commercial plumbers, hydraulic engineers, councils, and industry bodies. Manage pipeline of active projects from specification to order completion, and collaborate with merchants to provide detailed quote proposals and product solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and managed accordingly. Requirements: Proven experience within a strategic business development position related to plumbing, building or other trade related products. Experience managing a territory with exposure in managing a pipeline of project opportunities and dealing directly with plumbers, builders and/or contractors. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners. A supportive and positive culture driven attitude. Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite would be highly regarded. Previous regional travel experience will be highly regarded. Trade qualifications or further studies are welcomed. Experience working in the specification market highly regarded. A highly competitive salary package including a rewarding quarterly bonus structure is on offer for the right candidate.
