About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager for our Structured Finance and Operating Lease division.
This is a front-line sales position where you will play a key role in acquiring profitable and scalable new programs with new partners.
You will develop and maintain strong external relationships with existing Structured Finance partners and build a network of industry professionals to identify new opportunities for Structured Finance across P&A programs or Operating Lease and broker distribution channels.
Fostering a collaborative working environment with internal BOQ stakeholders will be critical to your success.
You will work with existing partners, new partners, brokers, and direct customers to ensure they receive the best finance experience and training as required.
You will prepare and deliver formal monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews, and proactively develop and maintain face-to-face relationships with internal stakeholders.
Addressing escalations and queries in a timely, efficient, and customer-centric manner will be part of your role, as well as liaising with credit, operations, and the COO Office to deliver positive partner, customer, and broker outcomes.
In terms of business development, you will achieve new business volume, margin, penetration/share of business, and Introducer satisfaction targets.
You will develop long-term and profitable business relationships with Program Partners, Customers, or Brokers, and establish, develop, and maintain face-to-face relationships with internal stakeholders and management contacts.
Identifying and maintaining a pipeline of new program opportunities through proactive acquisition of new customers and referral sources will be essential.
You will prepare and deliver new business presentations to referrers and potential referrers on products and services offered and promote BOQ Finance as a quality business partner.
About you To be successful in this role, you will have exposure to Business Development and Relationship Management of 3rd Party Asset Finance Introducers, along with a proven customer service orientation.
You should have a history of proven sales growth and the ability to acquire new customers or third-party partners.
Experience in Operating Lease and Rental products across medical and IT equipment is essential.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, economics, or a related field are required.
A working understanding of financial analysis and credit requirements and policies, as well as a sound working knowledge of Asset Finance and related products, is necessary.
Additionally, you should have a sound knowledge of the commercial market and competitors' products.
